A CONCURRENT RESOLUTION COMMENDING MR. NED BOUDREAUX UPON HIS RETIREMENT AS EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR OF THE GULF REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION.
WHEREAS, Mr. Ned Boudreaux has served as the Executive Director of the Gulf Regional Planning Commission in Gulfport, Mississippi, since 1992; and
WHEREAS, a native of Pass Christian, Mississippi, Mr. Boudreaux who also served as acting director of the Commission from 1974 to 1976, has advised elected officials in Hancock, Harrison and Jackson counties on a variety of projects, including road planning, growth and zoning, solid waste removal and a high speed railroad corridor; and
WHEREAS, in 1968, Mr. Boudreaux began his career with the Gulf Regional Planning Commission and has spent most of his time there as a transportation planner; and
WHEREAS, for more than 25 years, Mr. Boudreaux has watched the growth along the Gulf Coast area and played a vital role in the development of new roads; and
WHEREAS, Mr. Boudreaux has been lovingly supported in all his endeavors by his wife, Karen, and their children; and
WHEREAS, it is the policy of this Legislature to recognize and commend such outstanding Mississippians as Mr. Ned Boudreaux, whose dedicated career has improved the quality of life and business for all on the Mississippi Gulf Coast:
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES OF THE STATE OF MISSISSIPPI, THE SENATE CONCURRING THEREIN, That we do hereby commend and congratulate Mr. Ned Boudreaux upon his retirement as Executive Director of the Gulf Regional Planning Commission and extend to him our heartiest wishes for many years of good health, happiness, peace and joy.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, That copies of this resolution be furnished to Mr. Ned Boudreaux and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
